Ernie had planned a “surprise” for Shirley’s 60th.. However? Something happened.. so Shirley was not surprised! In spite of the “cat being out the bag”, Shirley enjoyed her “surprise 60th birthday”..
They had quite a group! All great family and friends!

Usually Ev goes to the March Madness (basket ball lottery) at Chuck & Judy’s. This year was the first time I attended. I had a great time! Now I know what I was missing!
Chuck and Judy were so gracious! They made us feel so comfortable. Had our room all ready for us..

Judy made a traditional St Patrick's Day dinner, corn beef and cabbage.. yummy yummy! Some people brought some desserts to add to the dinner. We brought some awesome cheesecake..
It was great to see Kevin and Dj (Daniel) and we got to meet Dj’s girlfriend Michelle..
It was amazing how the process of the lottery/auction for the basket ball went. I kind of teased Chuck while he was auctioning off the different teams.. Had a great time!
Had a good nights sleep.. Sat on the veranda in the morning and had coffee visited for a couple of hours. We then went to Mel’s and had breakfast/lunch.. Great fun!! Thank you both for a great experience!
The newest fashion show seem to go off without a hitch. Barbara Higman was in charge of the actual fashions from Lisa's Size’s 3-60. Barbara had everything so well organized had all the girls hair and make up all done just perfect. She had music and male escorts for the ladies.
Or lunch consisted of gourmet turkey rollup's spring salad with Apple and craisins with cranberry dressing and some fantastic cheesecake. My help in the kitchen was GREAT! Thank you to Laura Weldy, Pam Rowland, Gayle Christian, Ann, Beth Truman.. Our waiters, Rooster, Rob & Ev. Thanks to all of you!!
Eric Austin did a great job with the Music for the Models.
We raffled off a couple of really nice baskets. We also had a gently used purse raffle that went off very nicely.
Doc & Pam’s 50th wedding anniversary was celebrated on March 7 at the Moose Lodge. They had a great band called “Gunzie”. Food was awesome! Family & Friends of from all over came to this event.
As soon as the music started, it was Let the Party Begin! The party started about five and went till midnight everybody had a great time thank you Doc and Pam we had a fun fun time!!
It’s been 4 weeks since my surgery. I feel my neck is doing GREAT!.. Scaring is minimal.. soon you won’t even see the incision in the front of my neck! I do believe the disks they replaced in my neck are doing great too! Very rarely do I feel discomfort from them.. Riding in the car 2 days in a row, is NOT good! But other than that, doing good..
The big problem is still my paralyzed arm (from shoulder to wrist on left arm). I will say after 33 days of excruciating pain has gone away..
Now just have constant achy feeling in my arm.. Some days are worse than others.. Of course the lack of being able to use it is very FRUSTRATING! Sleeping is also a challenge.. Some nights are better than others.
I still don’t have much energy.. Sit in the house a lot. Don’t like it much, but as I said my energy is not what I would like for it to be.
My spirits are much better. However, I do have my days..
Due to my health issues we had to cancel our 3 month road trip! That in itself is depressing.. Both Ev and I were soooooooooo looking forward to it! We were going to visit family and friends alll along the way.. And we were going to go Epcot (Ev has never been there and wanted to go). Maybe another time..??
I see the surgeon on the 23rd.. I am sure he will be pleased with the surgery..
I am doing PT (physical therapy).. At this point I am thinking it is a waste of time and money.. I can’t really do anything..other than use the pulley to straighten my left arm out.. otherwise there isn’t any exercises that I can do with my left arm till the use comes back.. Today is my 3rd time of going.. totally a waste of time..
I am pretty sure this is going to be my last one, at least till some use comes back..
Today we are also going to lunch at Happy Garden with our friends Jim & Shirley.. Looking forward to it!
